Many celebrities, that consists of a list of actors and actresses along side with social media influencers, came out to protest out on the streets and share their own personal views on the black lives matter movement. However, for some, the movement was seen as something to work in an individuals advantage. This could have taken the form in taking pictures at protests to make people think that they were really trying to support the protests so that it doesn't look bad on them.

Some saw the movement as a way to increase their fam and popularity which was obvious to many people actually supporting the movement. In episode 2/3 of our podcast some of us found out that the Actor KJ Apa didn't say much on the movement of BLM because he felt like it wasn't his place to speak on the matter. This was upsetting to many of us who watch Riverdale and expect people we support to try and help support us. To say the least many of us were upset of how certain influencers approached the BLM movement especially with their wide amount of following which could have helped made a difference.

Hugh Jackman the shared his views on the black lives matter movement, with his 29 million followers. The Australian a list actor wrote on his social platform, “The tragic death of George Floyd has prompted many conversations in my home and with friends around the world. Conversations that are, in large part, long past due."

Ariana Grande a fellow singer, writer and actress also used her social platform to speak up against the injustices and that are regularly seen in the media, especially black people. The American artist was seen at protests and was immediately an advocated for the #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd on Twitter, urging her 74 million followers to "put pressure on DA Mike Freeman" to arrest the involved officers.

This helps many individuals to understand the actual impact of the movement and why it is much more serious than you think. The whole BLM movement has opened the eyes of many and is still trying to get people to understand the actual true meaning of ALM and what we as Gen z's can do to make sure that our future kids and the younger generation can do to avoid this from becoming a cycle.

BLM will always matter and still matters till we are equal.
